Law No7 For the Year 1999 Concerning the Environment

Law No. 7 of 1999 regarding the environment was prepared since 1997 by the Environment Department at that time, where a specialized team was formed by the Environment Department in cooperation with the various committees formed for this purpose by the relevant official and civil authorities, which extrapolated all the texts.

The local, regional and international legislatures and the development of a working mechanism for drafting the law, which was submitted to the Fatwa and Legislation Bureau for review and then presented to the Legislative Council, where the law was approved in three readings on 6/7/1999 and was approved by the President on 28/12/1999 and published In the Official Gazette on February 29, 2000 under No. (7) of 1999.
